Project description: Support the evaluation and sustainability assessment of territorial cohesion objectives and of the quality of urban environment. Assess regional /urban development policies (including TEN-T, urban strategies, etc.). Set up of a Regional Integrated Assessment framework based upon linkages of thematic and sectoral modelling activities (e.g. : on land use, regional economics, air quality, transport, energy, soil, ..).
Roles & Responsibilities in the project: as Scientific officer and Researcher
To develop a set of indicators within the LUISA territorial modelling platform for the simulation of EU policies and evaluation of their territorial impacts. These indicators are in the context of the urban development: population density indicator, land use intensity and the urban sprawl. The indicators are presented at NUTS 2 level, for the year 2010 up to 2030. Dissemination of the results achieved (deliverables) during the development of these projects.
