Project description: The overall goal of the project is to estimate the use/exploitation and vulnerabilities of the actual natural goods and ecosystem services in a wider frame of regional development. Analysis, at urban, regional and macro-regional levels, of environmental sustainability and improvement of public health and well-being, including eco-system services; air and water quality; natural hazards and resource efficiency, including transport analysis within cities, between cities and between regions.
Roles & Responsibilities in the project: as Scientific officer and Researcher
To develop and model a ‘soil erosion’ indicator in order to assesses the temporal and spatial distribution of the total soil losses (tonnes/hectare/year) by water erosion processes. The simulations of this indicator used the LUISA modelling platform for the EU-28 territory from 2006 up to 2050, operating at 100-meter resolution.
