Project description: Modelling support by linking different models related to land use and running, policy scenarios for impact assessments relevant to environmental policies and for prospective work. The objective is the assessment of environmental impacts of EU policies using LUISA Modelling Platform, applied to relevant policy initiatives of the EC such as climate-energy package, resource efficiency (focus on the support to the Communication on LAND) and related fields.
Roles & Responsibilities in the project: as Scientific officer and Researcher
The main task was a comprehensive analysis of the environmental impacts of 2nd generation (lignocellulosic) feedstock using LUISA modelling platform under the Energy –Climate reference scenario in EU-28 from 2010 up to 2050. Spatial modelling, mapping and statistical analysis in detail of the allocation of energy crops from LUISA.
